B.TECH MARINE ENGINEERING
(LATERAL ENTRY)

B.Tech Marine Engineering (Lateral entry) is a specialized 3-Year residential undergraduate course is designed for other stream candidates such as mechanical or electrical engineering, as well as Diploma holders in these fields, who seek to enter the course in its second year. This pathway offers a structured approach for students to pursue a career as Marine Engineer. Affiliated with the Directorte General of Shipping (Govt. of India). This course is structured to provide a deep understanding of ship design, construction, operation of ship machinery and maintenance of ship machinery. Graduates are qualified to work as Marine Engineers on ships of all sizes and types, including cargo vessels, tankers, passenger vessels, cruise and offshore vessels.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidate who have passed 1st year from Engineering college in other streams like mechanical or electrical approved by AICTE with minimum 60% average marks or Diploma holder in mechanical/ marine/ naval architecture/ electrical/ electrical and electronics from the college approved by AICTE or State Board of technical education with minimum 55% of aggregate marks in the final year of Diploma Course.
Minimum 50% marks in English in 10th/12th Standard/ Degree/ Diploma Course conducted by a recognized Board or University.
Age: 17-25 (Years)
Candidates seeking admission to this course must be medically fit and need to produce a certificate of Medical Fitness.
