B.Sc. NAUTICAL SCIENCE

B.Sc. Nautical Science is a specialized 3-Year residential undergraduate course designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge for a successful career as a Deck Officer in the Merchant Navy. This course combines academic learning with practical training to ensure that graduates are well-prepared for the demands of the maritime sector. Affiliated with the Indian Maritime University(IMU) and approved by the Directorate General of Shipping (Govt. of India). The curriculum covers navigation, ship operation, cargo handling, maritime law and safety at sea. Graduates are qualified to work as Deck Officers on ships of all sizes and types, including cargo vessels, tankers, passenger vessels, cruise and offshore vessels.

All candidates applying for B.Sc Nautical science course also needs to appear for a common entrance test (CET) conducted by the Indian Maritime University (IMU).

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) as mandatory subjects from a recognized board. 60% aggregate marks in PCM in 12th standard.
Minimum 50% marks in English in 10th/12th standard.
Age: 17-25 (Years)
Candidates seeking admission to this course must be medically fit and need to produce a certificate of Medical Fitness.
